With over three decades of experience spanning stage, screen, and the high seas, Darren McColl is a true powerhouse in the entertainment industry. From starring in leading roles on stage and hosting TV shows to managing world-class entertainment as a Cruise Director, Darren’s career has been defined by versatility and excellence. Now, as co-founder of Evoque Entertainment Hub, he leverages his unmatched expertise and global network to mentor performers and connect them with extraordinary opportunities across the industry.

Darren McColl brings a wealth of experience and passion to Evoque Entertainment Hub, having spent over three decades immersed in the entertainment industry. Darren’s journey began at the age of 13 when he stepped onto the stage as a young actor in productions like Fifteen Streets and Oliver Twist, where he played the iconic role of the Artful Dodger. As a professional child model with London-based agency Childs Play, Darren worked with several renowned UK brands, building a strong foundation in performance and professionalism.
Darren honed his craft at Laine Theatre Arts, completing their Musical Theatre Course. He later joined the touring group 8th Dimension, where he performed in leading roles across a variety of productions, including Danny in Grease, Elwood in The Blues Brothers, Greaseball in Starlight Express (complete with roller-skating skills), and even one of the Ugly Sisters in Pantomime. His versatility and charisma set him apart in every production.
From stage to screen, Darren’s career took him to Butlins as a Show Red, where he entertained audiences of over 4,000 nightly and hosted events featuring celebrities like Bobby Davro, Edwin Starr, and Steps. Transitioning to television, Darren became a regular presenter for Reds TV and Carlton Kids, showcasing his on-camera presence through live location segments and interviews with emerging bands. He also explored radio, hosting shows for Paradise Radio and The Station in New Zealand’s Bay of Plenty.
Darren’s talents found their ultimate stage in the cruise industry, where he has excelled over the last 28 years. Starting as a DJ and radio host, Darren quickly expanded his repertoire, performing in high-caliber shows like Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, and Five Guys Named Moe, demonstrating his versatility as a singer, dancer, and even a James Bond stage fighter. Rising through the ranks, he became Cruise Director, responsible for managing teams of up to 70 people, including cast members, guest artists, youth staff, and musicians, while also hosting live shows and morning TV programs onboard.
Having experienced every facet of the entertainment industry—from acting and presenting to managing and mentoring—Darren co-founded Evoque Entertainment Hub to guide performers toward success. His mission is to leverage his extensive knowledge and network to help emerging and seasoned talent thrive in their careers. Darren’s hands-on approach ensures every performer is set up for success, making Evoque the ultimate platform for connecting talent with opportunity.
Mylinda Reid
Co-Founder, Evoque Entertainment Hub
With over 30 years of experience as a performer, choreographer, and educator, Mylinda has danced her way across stages worldwide, captivating audiences and nurturing talent. From award-winning ballet training to six years as a Royal Caribbean cast member specializing in aerial and ballroom dance, her artistry and expertise shine in every role. As co-founder of Evoque Entertainment Hub, Mylinda channels her passion for dance into helping performers thrive and creating unforgettable wedding moments through bespoke choreography, ensuring every step is a story worth telling.

Mylinda is a seasoned performer, choreographer, and educator with a lifelong passion for the art of dance. With over 30 years of experience spanning stage performance, teaching, and choreography, she brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to Evoque Entertainment Hub, where she specializes in nurturing talent and creating unforgettable moments.
Mylinda’s journey began at the age of five, training in jazz, ballet, and later expanding to contemporary, musical theatre, and tap. Her talent and dedication earned her numerous accolades, including the prestigious Sir John Logan Campbell Award in 1996 and recognition as a finalist in the National Ballet Awards New Zealand. She holds advanced qualifications in dance, including an Associate Degree in Dance from Queensland University of Technology (Distinction) and certifications in Pilates through the Pilates Institute of Australasia.
As a performer, Mylinda has graced stages across New Zealand and beyond, contributing to productions for Tauranga Musical Theatre, Black Grace Contemporary Dance Company, and Diamond Entertainment. Her six years with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as a dance cast member brought her experience in aerial and ballroom dance, as well as teaching salsa classes onboard. These roles honed her artistry, stage presence, and passion for connecting with audiences worldwide.
In addition to her performance career, Mylinda has over a decade of teaching experience in Pilates, ballet, contemporary, and jazz, with a proven track record of choreographing competition-winning routines and wedding dances. Her expertise has also extended to adjudicating talent quests and dance competitions, where her eye for precision and artistry sets her apart.
At Evoque, Mylinda spearheads the Sway division, offering bespoke wedding dance choreography tailored to each couple’s unique story. Her approach is deeply personal, combining her love for dance with a dedication to building connections and ensuring every couple’s first dance is a moment to remember. With an infectious passion for creativity and a talent for helping others shine, Mylinda is at the heart of Evoque’s mission to connect talent with opportunity.
